Salty Foods: Are They Good for Kids? with Melissa Halas
April 26, 2018
Melissa Halas Liang joins me this week to chat about salty foods in our children’s diets. In the USA, kids and teens are eating around 3,300 milligrams of sodium every day, and that’s before seasoning their food themselves! Melissa is here to give us some insight into how to counterbalance sodium intake with other foods and make smart choices.
We all know it’s getting harder to maintain a healthy lifestyle for our children. Thankfully, Melissa has made it her life’s work, through her children’s books, to make living healthily easy for parents and fun for kids!

Hopefully, by listening to this episode, you will discover how you can lower your kid’s salty foods intake by learning what foods already contain unreasonable amounts of sodium. Keeping salt content down is an ongoing battle, so tune in and let Melissa give you a helping hand.
Melissa knows as well as anyone how difficult it can be to adjust to a healthier diet as a child. It might be a rough ride to start with, but if you stick it out, you will have a healthy Nourished Child.
