Kids Thrive Parent Program

If you’re like many parents, you worry about your child’s health – and their happiness. Especially if they’re growing up in a larger body.

Perhaps, you’re seeing some behaviors that concern you. Maybe your child likes to eat sweets and treats. Or you’re concerned about their eating habits, like eating too much or sneaking snacks. Perhaps their body is growing too fast and this concerns you. Or, maybe you’re noticing their self-esteem is changing.

Watching your child potentially head down an unhealthy path can stir up feelings of worry, helplessness, and guilt.

I help parents change their child’s health habits and improve the home environment so their child can become healthier without restrictive dieting or causing unintentional harm to their self-esteem or body image.

The truth is, cultivating the habits that will serve your child for a lifetime begins right now. Healthy habits are learned, and learning them happens (and is cemented) in the decade between ages three and thirteen.

The good news? It’s not too late to renovate the habits that have gotten off track — at any age.

Join my group parenting program where I teach you how to cultivate the essential habits children need to for optimal health and wellbeing, so they grow up healthy and happy. You’ll learn about my Whole Child Healthy model, the 8 Pillars of Wellness… and how to use these in your daily life with your child.

If your child is…

  • growing up with a larger body
  • choosing (or eating) too many sweets, treats, or less-than-healthy foods
  • overeating, sneaking, or eating due to boredom or emotions
  • engaging in too much screen time
  • resisting sleep routines
  • skipping breakfast and snacking after school and all night
  • fixating on food (what, when, how much…)
  • showing signs of diminished self-esteem or body image
  • dealing with out-of-whack lab values
  • or anything else that concerns you about your child’s health and wellbeing…

Here’s how this works…

  • Raise a Child Who Thrives group parenting programs run several times throughout the year. Our next cohort will begin in April 2026.
  • We will meet on Zoom every Wednesday from 12 to 1 pm ET for 8 weeks. (A Zoom link will be provided to you and recordings of the sessions will be available for the duration of the program.)
  • It is strongly suggested that you purchase my book, Kids Thrive at Every Size: How to Raise Your Big, Small, or In-Between Child for a Lifetime of Health and Happiness. Here is the Amazon link.
    • It is also available through other vendors, found here:
kids thrive at every size book

The book will be your reference as we cover all the important lifestyle habits where you have leverage for improving habits and your home environment. We’ll cover new topics each week and talk as a group. You’ll get my insights, tips, and strategies.

By the end of the program, you’ll be on your way to cultivating better lifestyle habits for your child and family!

Who is running this group program?

I’m Jill Castle, MS, RDN, a pediatric dietitian (x 34 years!), and mom (x 4!). I spend my work time in private practice with families, speaking and teaching other pediatric healthcare professionals, running a website and podcast called The Nourished Child®, and a YouTube channel. My professional life is dedicated to children, families, and nutrition.

I’m the author of Kids Thrive at Every Size. I wrote this book to empower parents like you to implement healthful habits as a way to raise healthy, happy kids — without shame or guilt.

But I also wrote it for parents and caretakers of children who are in a larger-sized body, who may have a high weight, or who may be on a path to health concerns. I want to help families cultivate a path forward that optimizes both health and wellbeing — without diets or blame.

This experience isn’t about diets. Or forced exercise. It’s a gentle approach to nurturing healthy habits in children while being sensitive to the “danger zones” when kids have larger bodies. You’ll get my tailored advice and insider tips from decades as a pediatric dietitian who works with real life families. My goal is to help you establish those lifestyle habits that are proven to promote health and wellbeing in children.

After completing Jill’s program, I feel free! Free of the constant worry and guilt — I now have a focus and the tools to help my overweight child become healthier.
